The logo t-shirt is back and none is hotter than Dior’s ‘We should all be feminists’ version as seen on Natalie Portman, Jennifer Lawrence and Rihanna
Fashion has gone slightly political this season with a barrage of statement slogan tees taking the industry by storm.

With a new female creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior sent this logo t-shirt down their SS17 runway.

The feminist statement resonated with customers and the t-shirt soon became every hipster’s new season must-have.

Before stock became available, the humble cotton tee was available to pre-order, but demand was so high, it promptly sold out, despite the rather mind-boggling £490 price tag.

Its popularity was no doubt influenced by its celebrity endorsement.

The face of Miss Dior perfume Natalie Portman was spotted wearing the tee on a solidarity march in LA back in January.

For anyone lucky enough to get their hands on one, you can comfort yourself with the fact that Dior have partnered up with Rihanna’s charity Clara Lionel Foundation, and are donating the proceeds from the ‘We Should All Be Feminists’ t-shirt to the charity. Rihanna Instagrammed a picture of herself wearing the t-shirt.

But Dior weren’t the only fashion brand to get political this season. Prabal Gurung also incorporated t-shirts printed with political messages in his show at NYFW last month, saying, ‘The Future Is Female’, ‘This Is What A Feminist Looks Like’ and ‘I Am An Immigrant’.

Meanwhile on the Creatures of Comfort runway, models wore t-shirts emblazoned with the words, ‘We Are All Human Beings’, and LSR’s debut collection included knickers which presented the words, ‘No Ban No Wall’ in reference to Trump’s Muslim ban.

And if you’re looking for a high street dupe, you can snap up a near identical Dior t-shirt for £12 on Etsy.
