The celebs were out in winter whites at the British Fashion Awards – here’s how you can pull off the trend
The high street is full of sequins, glitter and little black dresses for party season, but if you’re not feeling glitzy, how about something a little different?
We noticed that the stars were channelling winter whites at the British Fashion Awards on Monday.
Model Abbey Clancy looked gorgeous in a plunging, thigh-high Julien Macdonald dress with metallic heels from Kurt Geiger, while style queen Olivia Palermo didn’t disappoint in a printed Peter Pilotto dress with velvet Jimmy Choo boots. Model Pixie Geldof looked ethereal in a floaty kimono-style frock with silver chunky platforms.
We know it isn’t the easiest hue to pull off (especially if you’re planning on fake-tanning) so proceed with caution.
Remember to keep your look simple, don’t be tempted to overaccessorise and make sure the fit is the right size – white will show all.
And of course, don’t forget to invest in good lingerie – nude underwear is always best to avoid a VPL.
Here are some of our best picks from the high street.
